Arcadia Mayor Arrested

The mayor of Arcadia, California was recently arrested for acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government. She pushed PRC propaganda on behalf of PRC officials. Her ex-boyfriend had previously pled guilty to doing the same. I worked the Chinese asymmetric threat for years, as well as the traditional threat from known officials. When I speak on the China threat, I always emphasize when I say "the Chinese", I'm referring to the Chinese Communist Party, not the Chinese people. The Chinese people have been victims of the CCP for decades. The Chinese government's intelligence apparatus has flooded the zone with covert operations and not so covert operations in the U.S. Perception management easily reaches the masses via today's social media platforms. I read a report yesterday that the younger American generations have a more positive view on the PRC than years past. Apparently, they do not believe reports about the forced labor camps and disappeared dissenters are real. We have been warning about China's perception management, especially over American youth, for years. Chinese owned platforms such as TikTok can be easily used to manipulate young minds. This is a real threat.
